About the role

Everest Civil is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our dynamic team in Brisbane, Queensland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our construction operations. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to carry out essential earthworks and site preparation tasks, contributing to the successful completion of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced regularly to optimise performance and lifespan
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
  • Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate equipment usage and meet project timelines
  • Identify and report any issues or defects with equipment to ensure prompt resolution
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry
  • Formal qualifications in operating excavators and other heavy equipment
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques and site preparation processes
  • Excellent safety-mindset and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • willing to work away in regional Queensland
