Opportunity:

Small but mighty civil delivery contractor established for over 20 years, operating across the east and west coast as well as international assignments in the Asia Pacific. The company operates in a niche space that is practically recession-proof, with limited competition, and is well-positioned to JV on Infrastructure projects with tier-one contractors.

This is not your typical 12-hour day Site PE role; you work a standard work week, Monday through Friday, with weekends being a rarity. NO EARLY PRE-STARTS

Location:

  • North Melbourne / Airport Surrounds

Scope:

  • Bulk Earthworks, Conduits, Pits and Trenches
  • Minor Roads, Pavements and Resurfacing

Typical Duties:

  • Contract Admin, including variations, claims, RFIs and tender support
  • Site EH&S, including SWMS and all related documentation
  • Scheduling, planning, forecasting and programming
  • QA/ITPs
  • Attend client meetings, workshops, lookahead and progress meetings
  • Site, plant, and workforce coordination
  • Update and utilise in-house systems, including CRM, MS Project, and Excel, with accurate and timely information.
  • Assist the PM/other project offices in other ad-hoc duties as they arise

Note that this role isn't a muddy boots role with an office/site split of 70/30 (APPROX).

What you'll need:

  • BSc Civil Engineering
  • Qualifications in Project Management are highly regarded
  • Australian Citizen: Eligible to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance, a Police Clearance Check, and other security checks.
  • Experience with a Civil Infrastructure Delivery Contractor
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of LGAs
  • Proficient in office suite, and in particular, advanced Excel and MS PM (or similar) skills
