About the role

We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team at E and J Industries Pty Ltd on a casual basis. This is the perfect opportunity for a retiree or semi-retired individual who has a passion for welding and fabrication, and wants to put their skills to use on a flexible schedule. The role will be based in our Arundel, Queensland facility.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing high-quality welding and fabrication work on a variety of custom metal projects
  • Reading sketches, and other technical documents to fabricate parts and assemblies
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Operating various welding equipment and machinery with a focus on safety and precision
  • Collaborating with the production team to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
  • Hours 6 am > 1.30 pm for min 3 days a week This is flexible

What we're looking for

  • Several years of experience as a Welder / Fabricator, ideally in a custom or bespoke manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Flexible and adaptable to work on a variety of projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa with appropriate work rights
