An opportunity currently exists for a Casual Student Environmental Scientist to join our Environment Team. This role will carry out duties, under supervision including site, investigation, sampling and monitoring as required. This role will provide exposure to and be responsible for documentation and report project outputs, advice and recommendations based on the status and nature of the jobs.

This role will provide exposure to a variety or environmental projects which will include assisting with the delivery of contaminated site investigations, remediation projects, environmental monitoring, field studies and environmental approvals.

Reporting directly to the Division Manager, the Student Environmental Scientist will gain a variety of professional experience in contaminated land and ecology.

The sucessful applicant must possess the following:

  • Be near completion of a degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or similar
  • Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Be flexible in their approach to daily tasks
  • Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Be available for occasional travel

You will also preferably possess and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • GIS skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
