What you do

You will be responsible for validating and maintain cost control or our network of building and trade partners for Insurance Repairs and assist in ensuring partners meet required KPI's including timelines, cost, customer service and scope accuracy. The key focus of the role is Cost Control, Performance and Relationship Management between the building/ trade partners within our Network.

Key responsibilities include:

Client Accountabilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through effective communication, relationship building, and conflict resolution.
  • Provide quality follow through and excellence in service in all dealings with customers and client companies.
  • Collaborate with trades to ensure observations and actions are communicated effectively via photos and written reports.
  • Actively engage and manage the Work Health and Safety activities of the Network.
  • Validate and negotiate scope method and pricing in line with industry standards and benchmarks
  • Source competitive quotes and prices from the network while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Work with the network, to gather insights that improve scope accuracy and quote precision.

Financial Accountabilities

  • Negotiate scoping pricing with Builder and Trade Partners in line with Home Network Strategy
  • Ongoing monitoring of both industry standard pricing and quoted repair costs and identify opportunities to drive down repair costs.
  • Ensure relevant costs are paid and client billed correctly.
  • These outcomes are to be achieved whilst demonstrating the Allianz People Attributes

Repair Management:

  • Monitor claims having regard to the validity of the claim, the circumstances surrounding the claim and cost containment.
  • Coach builders in report writing, scope submission and required documentation.
  • Ensure that cost savings are implemented in all appropriate situations.

What you bring

  • Trade Qualification: Preferably in carpentry.
  • Estimating Experience: A background in construction estimating is essential.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles.

Property Claims experience:

  • Demonstrate strong customer focus, and possess the energy and tenacity required to succeed in a rewarding and challenging environment.
  • Provides superior customer service to both internal and external customers.

Problem Solving and Decision Making Skills:

  • Able to make decisions swiftly and put decisions into practical use.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Background in property Claims management and desktop assessing is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability manage WHS requirements in the building industry.
  • Validation and Estimation experience is necessary.
  • An intuitive thinker - able to adapt and tailor communications to appropriate audiences.
