About the Role:

As a Sprinkler Fitter/Electrician Dual Trade Apprentice, you will be trained in the installation, maintenance and repair of fire sprinklers, hydrant & hose reels, fire detection & alarm, emergency & exit lighting and passive fire systems. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of buildings and their occupants.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist experienced fitters with the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire safety systems including, but not limited to, FIP's/alarms, sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, fire extinguishers and hose reels, emergency lighting and passives.
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of essential fire safety systems in accordance with Australian Standards
  • Troubleshoot system issues and perform diagnostics
  • Perform defect rectification works
  • Learn to read building services drawings (plans) and understand fire protection system layouts
  • Learn the technical skills required to design, plan, and install both Wet and Dry Fire systems including fire alarm and detection systems and sprinkler systems
  • Work closely with our sprinkler fitters and electricians to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise
  • Safely operate tools and equipment under supervision
  • Work on commercial, industrial and residential job sites
  • Participate in theoretical and practical training to obtain your Sprinkler Fitter/Electrical trade qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn both skilled trades
  • Willing to learn how to read and understand Australian Standards and complete administration forms (like logbooks and safety documents)
  • Ability to work at heights and in a variety of conditions
  • Drivers License, reliable transportation and good attendance
  • Must hold a Construction Induction (White) Card or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement of your employment
  • Have completed Year 10 or above
  • Strong computer skills, in both Windows and Phone operating systems, along with the ability to navigate web applications and use google workspace.
  • No experience required - just bring a great attitude
