This is a 24 x 7 shift worker role working in a critical tier 3 data centre as part of an operations team that is dedicated to our clients' success. This hands-on position requires an electrical or HVAC tradesperson who possesses excellent electrical & HVAC knowledge including a broad understanding of, and the ability to operate all building systems including, Diesel Generator, UPS, STS, BMS, Fire, Chiller, HVAC plant and numerous other systems.

The role ensures smooth site operations by preventing downtime of critical services and overseeing building systems. It includes managing contractors, ensuring compliance with WHS and statutory requirements, performing equipment isolation and switching operations, conducting load reviews, and handling reporting and process improvement to maintain full regulatory compliance.

The position is an average 38 hour week working an extremely attractive shift roster with an excellent remuneration package.

What do I need?

  • Electrical or HVAC trade qualifications.
  • Excellent fault-finding ability.
  • Ability to operate under pressure.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as well as the requirement to become qualified.
  • Data centre experience or working in critical environments.
  • A thorough knowledge, understanding of and adherence to safety systems and regulations.
  • Good computer skills & competence in Microsoft Office suite of products.
