Your Responsibilities: 

As a valued member of our team, you'll be involved in providing youth support, family contact, court support, and crisis support services. We are dedicated to creating a safe and empowering environment for young people, aligning their needs with care plan objectives.

We are unique in the fact that we specialize in supporting youth that have complex needs, so we require staff that are resilient, reliable and have some experience in the youth industry.  

What We're Looking For:

Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for helping youth.

Drive, reliability, and honesty are key qualities we value.

Willingness to work flexible shifts, including sleepovers, weekends, and last-minute call-ins.

Experience working with children and young people with complex and challenging behaviours is a plus, but not essential - we provide training

Passion for working with children and young people with challenging behaviours, particularly teens.

Team players who follow policies and contribute to developing new ideas.

PYCC Village Model of Care

PYCC operates under a village model of care, where Youth Workers are expected to work across multiple homes rather than being permanently assigned to a single location. This includes homes in the Ipswich, Brisbane, and Moreton Bay/North Brisbane regions.

This approach fosters shared responsibility among staff, helps prevent burnout, and ensures greater consistency and stability for the young people in our care.

Requirements:

Minimum age of 18 years old.

LCS Clearance ( Willingness to Obtain)

First Aid & CPR Certification  (MANDATORY)

QLD Blue Card - Paid  (MANDATORY)

Current Driver's License - P2 Minimum  (MANDATORY)

Your own car  (MANDATORY)

Comprehensive Car Insurance (MANDATORY)

Hopes and Healings Course (Training provided)

Must have a Smart Phone (MANDATORY)

Must be Comfortable and Skilled in Using Technology

Must have Strong report writing skills.

Training rate - SCHAD 1.3

Youth Worker rate $42.00 – $63.00 per hour
