Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Civil Designer – Urban Development to join our Brisbane team. This is a senior position where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, innovative design solutions for a broad portfolio of projects.

You'll be responsible for leading design work from concept through to detailed documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and local council requirements. Projects may include large-scale masterplanned communities, Greenfield Projects, complex brownfield redevelopments, and bespoke urban infill developments.

Your day-to-day will see you:

  • Overseeing and producing detailed civil design for roads, drainage, earthworks, water, sewer, and utilities.

  • Reviewing and improving design processes to drive efficiency and innovation.

  • Collaborating closely with engineers, architects, planners, and landscape architects to create fully integrated design solutions.

  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and engineers.

  • Supporting the preparation of tenders, proposals, and project budgets.

  • Representing Egis in client and authority meetings to maintain strong relationships and ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications
  • Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar.

  • 5+ years' experience in Urban Development.

  • Advanced skills in 12D and CAD.

  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
