About the Role:

We're seeking reliable Catering Assistants for full-time and casual positions to support the kitchen teams in delivering high-quality meal services to residents. This rewarding role plays a key part in ensuring the wellbeing of our aged care residents through safe, nutritious, and well-presented food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with basic food preparation and plating of meals

  • Set up and clean dining areas and serveries before and after meals

  • Deliver meals to rooms and support residents with special dietary needs

  • Ensure resident meal preferences are met

  • Clean and sanitize all food service areas including dishes and equipment

  • Monitor food stock levels and assist with deliveries and stock rotation

  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene and OH&S regulations

  • Communicate any resident feedback or kitchen issues to Chef/Manager

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • Experience in a kitchen or food service role

  • Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends, AM and PM shifts

  • Strong hygiene practices and attention to detail

  • Good communication skills and teamwork

  • Physically fit for repetitive tasks and long periods standing

  • Effective English reading, writing, and verbal skills

  • Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends, AM and PM shifts

Desirable:

  • 3–5 years' experience in aged care or healthcare food services

  • Certificate III in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery (or working towards)

  • First Aid Certification

  • Food Safety Supervisor qualifications
