We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Paralegal to join our Disputes & Insolvency team. You will have the opportunity to work with some of our largest clients on a range of interesting and complex matters with the opportunity to engage with some of our largest client files. This role will be based at our Brisbane Head Office on a permanent, full-time basis.
The role
The day-to-day role will involve:
- Assisting solicitors in the team with a range of tasks related to litigation including drafting pleadings, affidavits and correspondence. ;
 - Timeline management for a portfolio of litigated work including tracking deadlines, milestones and ensuring completion of tasks.
 - Management of monthly reporting to a significant government client;
 - Conducting legal research
 - Managing and organising case files, ensuring that all documents and information are up-to-date and accessible;
 - Communicating with clients and external parties, such as courts, solicitors, and clients;
 - General file management including filing, bring ups, opening and archiving files as well as end of month billing;
 - Contributing to and assisting with other general administrative / secretarial tasks as required.
 
Who are you?
We are ideally looking for the below points, however, if you don't match them all please do reach out for a chat because we are open-minded about development and support, too:
- Previous experience in a litigation paralegal role;
 - A high level of attention to detail and a high personal work standard;
 - Strong organisation skills, together with the capacity to manage conflicting priorities simultaneously;
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
 - Familiarity with iManage and Practice Evolve would be considered advantageous.
