We listen, learn, and adapt to local environments, working in partnership with our customers and communities to 'Solve Water' Xylem is looking for a Trades Assistant at our Mt Isa Location. The Trades assistant provides assistance in the provision of Xylem Service and Rental Services to our customers, assist in maintaining the workshop and equipment, and support the warehouse with receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods The role:
  • Assist with the repair, servicing, testing, and cleaning of pumps and other Xylem products
  • Receive, store, pack, and dispatch goods in accordance with established policies and procedures, utilizing appropriate tools, packaging materials, and equipment
  • Perform spray painting and packing of completed pumps for customer delivery
  • Pick orders and parts from the store area and prepare products for dispatch
  • Safely operate electric reach forklifts, counterbalance gas forklifts, and other material handling equipment
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the effective operation of the branch
About you:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Previous experience in a workshop setting
  • Valid forklift licence with demonstrated experience operating a forklift
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in the workshop
