Are you an experienced sales professional with a strong background in the lubes/fuels, petrochemical, additive, or petroleum industry? Do you excel at building relationships, driving sales growth, and managing key accounts? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Specialist/Account Specialist to join a global industry leader

Based in Australia, with a focus on the ANZ region, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing sales, developing new business leads, and contributing significantly to the gross profit of your sales territory

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Developing and maintaining key contacts with strategic decision-makers (technical, purchasing, operations, and commercial teams).
  • Planning and conducting customer sales calls, preparing reports on territorial highlights, industry activities, and competitive movements.
  • Promoting products and leveraging a "Challenger Sales mindset".
  • Developing and implementing annual sales plans, including financial targets and key projects.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive Key Account Plans.
  • Identifying and logging new opportunities and business threats, and driving winning strategies.
  • Managing customer price lists and communicating sales forecasts.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to manage customer problems.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a Technical/Science field.
  • Demonstrated sales skills, commercial business acumen, and strong lubes/fuels industry knowledge, typically acquired through 10 years of experience in sales roles of increasing responsibility.
  • An advanced relevant degree (e.g., MBA) and prior sales experience in the petrochemical, additive, or petroleum industry are preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication, presentation skills, and the ability to organize technical information to meet customer needs.
  • Strong initiative, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A basic understanding of sales principles, theories, practices, and the petroleum additive market and competitive environment.
  • Knowledge of industry specifications, refinery operations, and processes.
  • Ability to travel as required within ANZ and regionally.
