Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people. 

Roster: 14D14R FIFO ex Perth 

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, our Water Management Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in maintaining site water infrastructure.This includes centrifugal pumps, portable generators, submersible pumps, and isolation and control valves. You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on achieving peak operational efficiency while upholding the highest safety standards in a large-scale dewatering environment. 

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, fault finding, and breakdown repairs on site watersystems, including pipework, tanks, and control valvesRemove and install multistage bore pumps, centrifugal pumps, fire pumps, and isolation/control valvesRefuel all generators and pumpsIdentify faults within the water network and raise SAP notifications to the relevant engineering ormaintenance disciplineOperate mobile equipment, including IT loaders, telehandlers, excavators, and light/medium trucksConduct polywelding and basic fabrication workOperate a large-scale water distribution system and manage pond levels Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience in water services operations, including exposure to bore fields, mine planning,equipment isolations, and water compliance requirementsPolywelding and fabrication certificationHigh-Risk Work Licences (HRWL) – LF, DG, and CN desirableValid C Class Manual Driver's LicenceStrong commitment to zero harm and continuous improvement practicesSelf-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamExcellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is advantageous About Us
