You will be a detail-oriented and proactive IT Project Controller to support the successful delivery of multiple IT initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring financial oversight, schedule integrity, and governance compliance across a portfolio of technology projects. You'll work closely with project managers, finance teams, and stakeholders to provide accurate reporting, forecasting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts, and actuals across IT programs
  • Develop and maintain financial tracking tools and dashboards
  • Support monthly reporting cycles, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Assist in resource planning and timesheet reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance and external regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate procurement activities and manage vendor invoicing
  • Liaise with finance and PMO teams to align project controls with organizational standards
  • Identify risks and opportunities related to cost and schedule performance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project control processes and tools

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, IT, or related field
  • Proven experience in project controls, preferably within IT or utilities sector
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK)
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, MS Excel, Power BI)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
