Senior Community Development Officer

Salary Package: $126,859 per annum plus super

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the delivery and evaluation of community development strategies and policies.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, community groups, government agencies, and businesses.
  • Develop and deliver projects and programs that promote wellbeing, inclusion, and resilience.
  • Represent the City at regional and state-level forums, advocating for community priorities.
  • Support and mentor others within the Community Development team.
  • Manage project budgets, prepare business cases, reports, and funding applications.
  • Identify and pursue partnership and grant opportunities to expand community impact.

What We're Looking For

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Social Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven background in community engagement, capacity-building, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a supportive team environment.
  • Sound understanding of local government or regional community contexts (desirable).
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence and recent National Police Clearance.
