Tradesperson - Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning (HVAC)

Your new role:

As a vital member of our HVAC trades team, your role is responsible for performing planned and corrective maintenance activities relating to the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) plant, infrastructure and equipment in order to maintain Metro South Health (MSH) facilities in a safe and functional condition ensuring all work is performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner to prescribed quality standards meeting customer needs. You will:

Be an effective member of the team of HVAC tradespersons cohort responsible for the repair, installation, maintenance and repair of all HVAC infrastructure.

Provide professional, client focused, high-quality technical support to the operation and maintenance of the Hospital plant and infrastructure for Metro South Health.

About you:

We are looking for a skilled HVAC tradesperson who combines technical expertise with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering high-quality service within a collaborative team environment. You will demonstrate:

Proven trade qualifications (Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent) and current relevant licenses (e.g., Electrical, Arctick).

Strong knowledge of HVAC system operations, maintenance, and repair in large-scale health care settings.

A commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and adherence to workplace values, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
