About the role

TRU GRIT Australia is seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Laser Operator to take ownership of laser cutting operations at our advanced manufacturing facility in Larapinta, QLD. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for producing precision components that meet strict quality standards, ensuring our clients receive only the best.

As a key member of our production team, you will work hands-on with industry-leading laser cutting machinery, contribute to workflow efficiency, and help drive continuous improvement across our operations. What you'll be doing

  • Operate our CNC laser cutting machine to manufacture components with precision and accuracy
  • Set up, adjust, and program machine to maximise efficiency, material usage, and quality
  • Perform preventative maintenance and first-level troubleshooting to minimise downtime
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
  • Record and report production output, machine performance, and any operational issues
  • Work closely with team members to improve processes, solve problems, and meet production targets
  • Hands on with team to on/off load materials
  • Uphold safe work practices and actively contribute to a safety-first culture

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience as a CNC laser operator or in a similar hands-on manufacturing role
  • Solid understanding of CNC machine operation and programming
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and pride in delivering quality work
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and stay organised under pressure
  • Team-oriented mindset with clear communication and collaboration skills
  • Current forklift licence
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
