About usAbout the roleDuties
  • Assist in providing commercially oriented legal advice across a variety of business contracts.
  • Support in drafting commercial agreements, including leases and licenses.
  • Advise on day-to-day legal and operational issues as they arise.
  • Assist with managing insurance matters for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Support the team in managing litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and debt recovery actions to secure favourable outcomes.
  • Coordinate with external legal advisors to support business needs.
  • Monitor legislative changes and support legal compliance training.
  • Participate in cross-business internal projects, gaining exposure to different areas of the business.
About you
  • Tertiary qualified in law
  • Strong interest in commercial law and willingness to grow your legal career in-house.
  • Motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exposure to construction law, general litigation, or corporate/commercial law through internships or legal clerkships is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and respond to the commercial drivers behind business decisions.
  • Up to date with the latest legal trends, ideally through ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development) engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with technology and its application to legal tasks.
  • Willingness to develop an in-depth understanding of the Viterra Australian and New Zealand business.
