The Sales Operations Manager can be based in Sydney/Brisbane or Melbourne.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience within the Animal Health industry, bringing a strong understanding of the Animal health market landscape, customer base, and key buying groups. This industry background is essential to effectively support our sales team, support key accounts, and drive commercial initiatives with credibility and insight.

Purpose of the role:

To support the sales and marketing team by developing and managing efficient systems, processes, and tools to achieve business goals. Coordinate key customer administration and data analytics to drive efficiency within the business and with our customers. Tactically drive key business projects and events, executing required facilitation, logistics and planning with key stakeholders that sets up the sales team and customers for success.

Key Responsibilities-

Sales & Key Account Reporting:

  • Coordinate & prepare with the Sales Process Analyst on an as required basis:
  • Sales Team Reporting for the National Sales Manager & Business Managers, that include Sales tracking highlighting opportunities and insights, and CRM performance dashboard updates
  • Customer presentations or reports for Key Accounts, including sales actual data and LTI measurements
Key Account Support & Customer Administration
  • Manage rebates and provide monthly updates, as well as oversee trading terms and pricing lists
  • Administer and produce price lists as required for the business, and ensure all price list updates are distributed to key customer groups
  • Manage the communication process of rebate and trading term updates to key customers
  • Coordinate and ensure all customer trading agreements are current and up to date with the National Sales Manager and Business Managers
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication between the sales and marketing team and the customer service platform
  • Manage relationships and engagements with key buying groups and partners and prepare for and support regional meetings and NRI Steering Committee meetings
  • Develop and maintain slide decks and presentations for sales meetings and external conferences
  • Perform all backend administrative support to assist the National Sales Manager in managing the sales teams, including team reviews, sales team administration, and coordination of meetings

Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Support for the Sales and Marketing team across – internal conferences, external customer and industry events such as field days, forums and customer incentive trips to ensure delivery of successful outcomes
  • Organise and coordinate conferences (e.g. Bain Fallon, Cattle Vets, Sheep Vets)

Operational Coordination:

  • Support the day-to-day coordination of sales and marketing team operational activities.
  • Manage everything other than product on the Abbey Animal Health website.
  • Administration of the Customer Ordering Portal (Web Ninja platform) — including user account maintenance, troubleshooting, and liaison with the platform provider
  • Identify problems with procedures and efficiently resolve them.
  • Sales and Marketing team meeting scheduling and agenda preparation & actions as required

Tertiary Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience


• 5+ years in a similar role within a sales organisation


• Sales and/or customer service experience in the animal health industry preferred.


• Experience identifying and providing analytical insights and sales data


• CRM knowledge and experience


• Project Management experience


• Ability to effectively communicate his/her own views and facilitate communication with other groups/teams


• Be extremely organised, able to plan ahead, reliable and diligent in all areas of work.
