Crane Truck Operator – General Lifting & Structural Steel

Location: Somerton Park

Job Type: causal to full time

Start Date: Immediate Start

Pay: Competitive – based on experience

We are seeking an experienced Crane Truck Operator to join our growing team, specializing in general lifting and structural steel installations. This is a hands-on role for a reliable, safety-focused operator with strong skills in steel erection, rigging, and site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate crane truck for delivery and placement of structural steel and other materials
  • Perform lifts in accordance with site plans and safety requirements
  • Assist with steel erection and general site works as needed
  • Conduct daily pre-start checks and maintain equipment
  • Work closely with riggers, site supervisors, and other trades

Requirements:

  • Valid MR or HR truck licence
  • High Risk Work Licence – CV class (Crane Vehicle)
  • Dogman/Rigger ticket (highly regarded)
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Proven experience in structural steel lifting & installation (highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of load charts, lifting plans, and site safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
