Salary
Fixed Term Part Time - pro rata $83,280 + superannuation
Casual positions - $44.48 base hourly rate plus 25% casual loading, superannuation and applicable penalties
About your new role
We are currently seeking motivated and community-minded Divisional Officers to provide high-quality support to a Councillor in one of our allocated Divisions. This diverse role can support office management, stakeholder engagement, and marketing and communications, operating under the day-to-day direction of the Councillor.
These fixed-term positions are based in the office of the allocated Councillor.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Councillor/s to assist them in fulfilling their responsibilities.
Managing all incoming enquiries (verbal/written) as the initial point of contact with professionalism, escalating to the appropriate area/officer when required.
Raising Councillor, procurement and system-related requests
Organising meetings, events and functions as required including logistics, agendas and follow-up of assigned actions.
Preparing internal and external communication
Creating engaging content for newsletters, social media, and promotional materials for community events.
Applications may remain current for up to 12 months.

Strong interpersonal skills and a confident, approachable manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A background in business administration, communications, public relations, event management, or a related field.
Proficient with software and technology, this role can use digital business tools such as Microsoft Office, SAP, Pathway, Survey Monkey, Campaign Monitor, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite
Prior experience supporting an elected representative or working in government is highly regarded but not essential.
