BINYAN Studios is looking for the next superstar Senior Project Manager to join the team in their Sydney Studio

The Project Manager is a pivotal role and essentially acts as the communication hub and interface for Binyan Studios between the client and the creative team. The role requires aspects from many different skills sets including sales, team management and operations. The role has many points of communication and focuses on managing client expectations against the realities of daily production in the studio.

As the face of Binyan the role is dynamic, fast paced and often pressured so resilience, maturity and adaptability are essential components to succeed in this role. A degree in Architecture or Architectural Visualisation would be beneficial.  There is a great deal of autonomy in the role and to be effective you must be extremely organised, with strong attention to detail and possess the ability to respond quickly and prioritise.

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years' experience in Project Management in architectural visualisation, creative agency or equivalent
  • A solid understanding of the life cycle of architectural visualisation project from start to end
  • A solid understanding of technical architectural drawings – a degree in Architecture or architectural visualisation ideal.
  • Outstanding communication skills to a wide audience and the ability to adapt the message accordingly
  • Ability to train others
  • A proactive and resilient approach
  • The ability to see the bigger picture and manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders for a mutually positive project outcome
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • The ability to handle conflict and have difficult conversations
  • A love of taking ownership and responsibility

  • Ability to juggle conflicting deadlines and to negotiate deadlines if the need arises
  • Highly organised with attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively adjust project timelines and schedule and a track record of excellent project profitability
  • Communicate effectively to multiple stakeholder interests and resolve any problems.
  • Strengthening and expanding relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Communicating with clients to establish goals and budgets, ensuring a high standard of work and cost-effective solutions.
  • Implementing effective strategies in a timely and efficient manner, aiming to always exceed client expectations.
  • Working cross-functionally with internal departments on the end-to-end implementation of projects, ensuring a seamless workflow throughout the studio.

Main Duties:

  • Brief procurement and data collection with the client
  • Utilising client briefs to develop marketing plans and creative executions and trafficking communication back to the design and production teams to aid the development of CGIs.
  • Communication and translation of the client brief with the Team Leader ensuring that all client expectations are understood and met by the creative team
  • Management of the life cycle of the project from a scheduling and timing perspective
  • Anticipating issues before they arise and communicating proactively with the client to update them
  • Nurturing the client relationship and identifying potential further work opportunities – make Binyan the "go to" for each client
  • Ensuring proactive communication with the Team Leader at all times to keep abreast of project status from the production perspective and communicating this to the client
  • Planning the team schedule with the Team Leader
  • Nominating relevant team member to be part of client briefings
  • Brief the artist and modeller with the Team Leader
  • Liaise with the finance department to ensure all payments are up to date.
  • Prepare Scope Of Works
  • Ensure all client feedback has been taken on board and work is accurate
