About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Medicine team as a Nursing Director, where you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee divisional operations for Paediatric Medicine, including education, quality improvement, systems, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with senior nursing leaders, multidisciplinary teams, and safety/quality leads to achieve KPIs and maintain high standards of care.
  • Evaluate and improve service models through clinical and consumer engagement, ensuring culturally sensitive, family-centred care.
  • Lead process and technology improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of learning, safety, and quality improvement across the Division.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Proven ability to lead strategy for service development and operationalise.
  • Demonstrate innovative and creative leadership.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 5 years post registration experience.
  • Experience as a leader or manager in the health care industry.
