About the role

Salmon Earthmoving is looking for an experienced and motivated Storeperson to join our Central Queensland team in Nebo, QLD. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in warehouse operations and parts handling, particularly within the mining and construction industry.

This full-time FIFO/DIDO position operates on a 7/7 rotating roster and reports to the Supply Chain & Logistics Team Lead. If you're a hands-on leader with a keen eye for detail and a passion for efficiency, we want to hear from you

As our Warehouse Leading Hand, you will:

  • Support daily warehouse operations and contribute to meeting team goals.
  • Assist with inbound and outbound stock movements and participate in regular stocktakes.
  • Receive, dispatch, and manage inventory with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery as required.
  • Follow workplace safety standards and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with team members and management to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Demonstrated experience (2-3 years in a similar role).
  • Forklift Licence (mandatory).
  • Current drivers' licence (essential).
  • Medium Rigid Licence (desirable but not essential).
  • Warehouse, Logistics, mining and construction industry experience will be highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Competent Microsoft Office Skills and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
