About the role

Southern Stainless Steel Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Metal Fabricators to join our team in Howlong, NSW. This is a full-time position, with the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and rapidly growing company that specialises in the manufacture of high-quality stainless steel products.

What you'll be doing

  • Fabricate and assemble a variety of stainless steel components and structures using welding, cutting, and other metal-working techniques
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Operate a range of metal fabrication equipment, including MIG and TIG welding machines, plasma cutters, and grinders
  • Perform quality checks on completed work and maintain high standards of workmanship
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance productivity and efficiency

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a metal fabrication or welding role, ideally in the stainless steel industry
  • Proficient in MIG and TIG welding, as well as other metal fabrication techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to work at our Howlong, NSW facility
