The Mona is a Northern Beaches icon with a fresh new look. Featuring a buzzing Beer Garden, family-friendly Courtyard and playground, Ben's Bakery Café & Pizzeria, and live entertainment spaces, it's where locals and visitors come together to enjoy great food, drinks, and coastal hospitality.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a vibrant environment and enjoys being part of a community-focused venue.

Join Our Team as a Kitchen Hand at The Mona

The Mona has been part of Northern Beaches life since 1925 and has recently been renovated to continue its legacy for today's community. Offering a lively Beer Garden, family-friendly Courtyard and playground, Ben's Bakery Café & Pizzeria, and live entertainment in the Backyard, The Mona merges coastal heritage with modern hospitality — making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.

We're now looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team and help deliver the exceptional experiences The Mona is known for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist our Chefs with daily kitchen operations
  • Carry out limited basic food preparation
  • Keep the kitchen organised, clean, and efficient — including dishwashing and general cleaning
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service and happy customers
  • Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards

You Fit If…

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand (preferred)
  • Strong work ethic with great attention to detail
  • Positive communicator and team player
  • Able to work independently in a busy, high-pressure environment
  • Safety-conscious with a commitment to hygiene standards
  • Flexible availability — including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
