The Opportunity

Our Product Innovation and Technology team at our Springhill Manufacturing facility is looking for a Technologist to join the team. As part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, Springhill is a key business unit within Manufacturing that produces and supplies steel for building and manufacturing applications. The site includes three main processing departments: Cold Reduction, Metal Coating Lines and the Finishing Paintline.

In this essential role, you will focus on uncoated products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, manage and deliver profitable product advancements that improve product and process capability across the business. This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday.

What Will You Do?

You will play a key role in supporting product and process improvements through data analysis, collaboration and technical expertise. You will also:

• contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment

• work within the manufacturing plant to ensure product quality and consistency

• support ongoing development of products that meet and exceed customer expectations

• assess and analyse data on uncoated products to identify opportunities for improvement

More About You

You are driven, technically minded, and able to manage projects, solve problems and collaborate effectively across teams. You will bring:

• tertiary qualifications in Materials, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering

• experience in data analysis, technical project coordination and product evaluation

• strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to engage across multiple teams

• excellent attention to detail, problem solving and time management skills

• an understanding of product design, manufacturing processes and process capability
