The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
- Permanent positions commencing from November 2025
- Full time (80 hours per fortnight + monthly ADO)
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist Grade 1-3

- Great staff benefits
The Department
The Department of Nuclear Medicine & PET offers a full range of diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures and is equipped with state-of-the-art PET (including soon to open digital Total Body), general SPECT/CT, cardiac imaging technology and a comprehensive radio pharmacy laboratory.
The department is committed to training, education and research activities and provides a CPD program for technologists.
The Role
Excellent opportunities exist for qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologists with enthusiasm and motivation to further develop their careers within a large public hospital.
The positions coincide with exciting new developments at The Alfred to expand PET services with a Total Body PET scanner (Siemens QUADRA) currently being installed and soon to open for services later this year within a new PET & Theranostics department at the recently opened Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer centre. Currently employed technologist staff and the new appointments will rotate across both sites.
You will join a dedicated team of technologists providing nuclear medicine and PET patient services as part of Alfred Health, the main provider of health services to inner southeast Melbourne and provider of specialist services across Victoria. Your skills will allow you to perform high quality diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine patient procedures and within a team environment that provides training and support.
