The Grounds of Alexandria are looking for a Venue Host who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service to all our guests in the Grounds Cafe.

Our host teams are experienced in all front of house. They are welcoming, engaging, playful and cheerful. Ready to answer every question, assist and genuinely engage with every guest that comes through our doors. They are responsible for creating a positive first impression and ensuring our guests have an outstanding experience.

Who Are You?

  • You are passionate about working with people and going above and beyond to create exceptional guest experiences at every touchpoint.
  • You are experienced, confident, patient, energetic, fast and a great communicator
  • You know how to manage a waitlist and use a reservations system such as Open Table or Seven Rooms.
  • You don't need direction and you thrive under high pressure situations.

Requirements will include:

  • 2+years experience in a similar fast paced restaurant environment
  • Weekend availability
  • Confident ability and exceptional first impression.
  • Determination to seize opportunities to surpass guest expectations and enhance guest experience from the very first moment of contact.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility and willingness to be part of a committed team.
  • Experience using Open Table preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
