Scheduling Officer

Due to internal promotion and growth, we are seeking a highly motivated Scheduling Officer to join our Scheduling Support Central team based within our head office in Coniston. The role will be part-time, maximum term at 121.6 hours per month on a rotating roster where you will undertake shift work and weekend work.
Offering flexibility and variety of shifts, you will be responsible for decision making and associated scheduling of our frontline staff into shifts on an ad hoc basis. Working in a time-sensitive and often high-pressure environment, the day-to-day responsibilities of the Scheduling Officer include:
- Working with operational leaders to identify and seek solutions for vacancy management.
- Allocation of resources according to shift vacancies, participant funding and NDIA line items.
- Clear, concise and professional communication of scheduling decisions to all stakeholders.
- Regular review and analysis of rosters of support and other workplace information to optimise workforce utilisation.
- Interpret and apply relevant Award conditions and National Employment Standards ensuring this is factored in to all resource allocation.
The hourly pay rate is between $38.65 and $41.45 (plus superannuation) dependent upon relevant qualifications and experience.
Working on a monthly rotating roster, the allocated shifts for this role will include:
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm, Saturday 3.00pm – 11.00pm
Week 2 - Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00am – 5.00pm, Thursday and Friday 6.00am – 2.00pm
Week 3 - Monday and Tuesday 9.00am – 5.00pm, Wednesday 12.00pm – 8.00pm
Week 4 - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00am – 5.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 6.00am – 2.00pm
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to read, interpret and follow rostering principles, award requirements and internal processes and procedures.
- Exceptional administrative and organisational skills, including competence in navigating a variety of platforms.
- Experience in building professional relationships partnering with business leaders and service users.
- Advanced customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
