The Role
As a Settlements Officer, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely settlements for our clients and brokers. You'll manage documentation, coordinate with internal teams, and proactively resolve challenges to keep the process moving without compromising on risk management. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Document Management: Follow up on outstanding items, verify accuracy, and ensure compliance with conditions precedent.
• Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary contact for clients, brokers, and solicitors, providing clear updates and resolving issues.
• Process Management: Identify potential delays, mitigate risks, and ensure all settlements meet regulatory and company standards.
• Client Relationship: Deliver exceptional service, build trust, and maintain strong relationships throughout the settlement process.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare reports, track progress, and contribute to process improvements.
• System Accuracy: Ensure data integrity across loan management systems and source documents.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• Degree qualified in financial or business
• Experience in settlements, banking, or financial services.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
• Familiarity with compliance and risk management processes.
