MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of our new hospital facility at Mediclinic George. We are looking for an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary to join our theatre team.
If you are an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary with demonstrated expertise in an operating theatre environment, we invite you to apply. Your role will involve delivering safe, comprehensive, and high-quality nursing care in alignment with the Scope of Practice. Join us in providing exceptional healthcare services to our community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
  • Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
  • Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting in the creation of a therapeutic environment
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
  • Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence
  • Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted
REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 

Higher certificate in nursing 

DESIRED EDUCATION:

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses for specific speciality areas

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

1 year post qualification experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 

1 year post qualification experience in a similar role

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Basic Life Support
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Regulations regarding the Scope of Practice for Nurses and Midwives
  • Relevant nursing legislation
  • Scientific nursing process
  • Risk identification
  • Nursing procedures
  • Patient observation skills
