Visy Recycling is seeking a Vendor Manager to lead and optimise our vendor network, ensuring exceptional service delivery across the collection, processing, and transport of recyclables.

Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, recycling and remanufacturing. We believe materials are not truly recycled until they're made into something new—and it all starts with Visy Recycling. As Australia's largest recycler, our extensive network of recycling operations is integrated with our manufacturing sites. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging.

As a network operator of the CDS Vic North Zone, we provide accessible and convenient refund points for Victorians to claim their 10-cent reward for every eligible container returned.

Role details:

As the Vendor Manager, reporting to the General Manager (Logistics) based in Tullamarine, VIC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining a high-performing vendor network that supports the collection, processing, and transport of recyclable materials. This role is critical to ensure that our operations run smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain a high-performing vendor network aligned with Visy's pillars of Safety, Service, and Cost
  • Analyse and negotiate optimal commercial and service outcomes
  • Resolve conflicts and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct site/vendor visits to ensure service quality and compliance
  • Drive network optimisation and formalise agreements through contract execution
  • Champion safety compliance and environmental standards

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in vendor management or logistics
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities
  • Collaborative team player

Desirable:

  • SAP and Excel proficiency
  • Experience in the waste or recycling industry
