As a
Senior Structural Engineer
, you'll take the lead on complex and technically challenging projects — from concept through to completion — driving design excellence, mentoring emerging talent, and shaping outcomes that stand the test of time.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll play a key role in leading project delivery, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting the continued growth of our structural team.

Project Delivery and Technical Leadership

  • Lead structural projects from planning through to completion, ensuring design integrity and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare, review, and sign off on calculations, drawings, and reports.
  • Provide expert input to resolve complex engineering challenges.
  • Oversee project quality, timelines, and deliverables across multiple assignments.
  • Represent Peritas in meetings with clients, builders, and external partners.

Mentorship and Team Development

  • Support, guide, and mentor junior engineers and drafters.
  • Conduct peer reviews and foster a culture of learning and accountability.
  • Contribute to developing internal standards, systems, and best practices.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Champion innovative engineering approaches and embrace technology to enhance efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve design processes and automation.
  • Share knowledge and contribute ideas that move the team and business forward.

Health, Safety, Environment and Quality

  • Ensure all work meets relevant codes, standards, and HSEQ requirements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

  • 5–10 years' experience in structural engineering, ideally across commercial, industrial, or resource projects.
  • Proven experience leading design delivery from concept to completion.
  • Strong communication and client engagement skills.
  • Ability to mentor others and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
