Capeview Construction's Is a family run business local to Phillip island & the Bass coast region that specialises in all things residential constructions & Carpentry. From new builds both architectural & custom homes too your standard beach home reno & extension. We also cover decks, pergolas , bathroom renos & every now & then some major - minor maintenance - We do it all & were on the hunt for an experienced carpenter who'd like to join our ranks.

Here's what your day-to-day will look like:


• Play your role in assisting with the supervision of residential carpentry projects from start to finish NOTE: Projects will range from $ 5k to $100k


• Plan organise & execute daily tasks, ensuring efficient productivity & the successful completion of your daily/ weekly tasks


• Assist with the training of the crews young team members ( apprentices ) in proper carpentry techniques & building methods along with safety procedures


• Enforce safety protocols & procedures to maintain a safe working environment


• Maintain accurate records of work hours & materials used


• Foster a positive working environment & facilitate effective internal communication


• Act as the primary liaison with the director of the company, contractors & internal teams


• Ensure high quality finishes within budget & timeline allocations

The ideal applicant has:


• Minimum 3-5 years experience out of their time or in similar role as a leading hand in construction. Including industry best practices & problem solving skills


• Current Victorian drivers license & industry white card


• Ability to micro manage a small crew on site


• Strong leadership skills & experience motivating/engaging/ coaching a team effectively


• Excellent communication & interpersonal abilities & time management skills


• In depth knowledge of your trade/ industry


• Positive 'can do' attitude, strong work ethic & collaborative team spirit


• The ability to identify possible issues before they arise & provide solutions


• Ability to manage sub-contractor, suppliers, staff & mentor junior staff


• Continuous improvement of operating processes to ensure quality & efficiency in operations


• Strong attention to detail & passionate about the industry

NOTE: This position is best suited for someone who lives in the following locations Phillip Island, Bass coast, South Gippsland
