Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team providing maintenance services across our Defence bases in Queensland. Here you will play a key role in completing corrective maintenance requirements where you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Perform preventive and responsive maintenance on air-conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical ventilation systems as per the EMOS contract.
• Service and repair chillers, BMS, and chilled water systems.
• Maintain and repair everything from split systems to ducted and package systems, as well as ventilation systems.
• Service and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including display cabinets, cold/freezer rooms.
• Act as a representative of Downer in all interactions with internal and external contacts.
• Bring forward ideas and support innovation within the team.
• Contribute to condition assessments during your daily duties.

What You'll Bring

• Qualified Refrigeration Tradesperson with relevant trade registration and licenses.
• Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Current first aid certificate preferred.
• Post-trade experience in a commercial and maintenance environment preferred.
• Proven ability to respond to and meet customer needs.
