Here's what we're searching for professionally:

  • At least 2+ years experience in a similar role with relevant experience;
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Able to work at a fast pace and high volume environment; and
  • High energy, passionate with a strong work ethic.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the preparation and production of meals in the restaurant;
  • Responsible for food preparation and production;
  • Managing and coordinating food supply and stock ordering;
  • Assisting the head chef in new menu production, and menu tasting;
  • Ensuring effective stock purchasing and waste control;
  • Assisting in the training and mentorship of junior and apprentice chefs;
  • Oversee the writing and costing of all kitchen rosters via Tanda;
  • Set high levels of work ethic standards by adopting a 'Hands On' management style;
  • Produce all dishes to a consistent standard;
  • Ensure all kitchen activities meet the organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety.
