Position Description:

The Refrigeration Technician at Daydream Island Resort plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems throughout the resort. This position requires a proactive individual who can diagnose, repair, and maintain various cooling systems to provide a comfortable environment for both guests and staff.

About the role:

  • Conducting regular inspections, preventative and reactive maintenance on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose faults and performing repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.
  • Installing new refrigeration systems and components as required.
  • Monitoring refrigerant levels and recharging systems to maintain efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations related to refrigeration operations.
  • Collaborating with other maintenance staff to coordinate repairs or upgrades that affect multiple systems.
  • Advising management on potential improvements or replacements for aging equipment.

About you:

  • Trade qualified Refrigeration Technician with a current Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL)
  • Experience in commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
  • Strong problem solving skills with a proactive approach
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Flexibile and adaptable in a resort environment
