The Team at Harbord Hotel in beautiful Freshwater Beach is looking for a general maintenance / handyperson to work at the pub. This role is casual, working approximately 3 days per week.

You'll undertake general maintenance and repairs to ensure the Pub maintains its facilities to a quality standard. You'll complete routine preventative tasks as well as responsive maintenance, contributing to a high standard of upkeep.

With a hands on approach you will:

  • Complete general repairs including but not limited to door and lock repairs, minor painting, and basic cleaning of some of the outdoor areas as well as general "handy" work
  • Undertake preventative maintenance to maintain assets at agreed expectations
  • Keep tools and equipment in safe working condition
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and follow safety procedures

You are a hands-on professional who enjoys practical tasks and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and presentation. You work methodically, stay calm under pressure, and take pride in your work.

You will also need:

  • Demonstrated experience and an understanding of maintenance, tools, and materials
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Sound computer skills – Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A practical, safety-conscious approach and willingness to follow procedures
  • Preferably your own tools however this is not essential
  • Flexible and can work outside of normal business hours and weekends if required

This work is casual and is paid in accordance with the Hospitality award.
