About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused Service Advisor to join a high-performing team. In this role, you will act as the main point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring service bookings are managed effectively, customer needs are met, and communication flows seamlessly between internal teams and clients. Your goal will be to deliver an outstanding customer experience while supporting operational efficiency within the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with service enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Accurately record customer concerns and provide advice on products, equipment, and services
- Generate work orders and service quotes
- Liaise with schedulers, technicians, and supervisors to monitor job progress and provide updates to customers
- Process and invoice completed workshop jobs promptly, ensuring month-end processes are completed on time
- Prepare service reports and quotes for new jobs using Dynamics or similar systems
- Communicate additional repair needs and obtain customer approvals
- Maximise workshop sales of labour, parts, and consumables while ensuring parts availability
- Manage administration of warranty jobs, parts, and storage
- Promote additional services or products where appropriate
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or administration within a technical or service-based environment
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as Dynamics (or similar)
- Strong customer service skills with a solutions-focused approach
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport across internal and external stakeholders
- Flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented work ethic
- Technical knowledge of municipal vehicles or related equipment is highly desirable
- Experience working with a mobile workforce will be an advantage
