Essential skills:
Demonstrated classroom teaching experience with a proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs.
A sound understanding of diverse learning needs and effective behaviour support strategies.
Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, including the ability to adapt and modify content for individual students.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with parents, carers, and external support services.
Desirable skills:
Postgraduate training or formal qualifications in special education
Experience in case management, including leading the development of Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs) or Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs)
Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and wellbeing-focused approaches
Proficiency in assistive technologies or augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools
