Essential Skills
- Demonstrated classroom teaching experience with a proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs.
- A sound understanding of diverse learning needs and effective behaviour support strategies.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, including the ability to adapt and modify content for individual students.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with parents, carers, and external support services.
Desirable Skills
- Postgraduate training or formal qualifications in special education
- Experience in case management, including leading the development of Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs) or Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs)
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and wellbeing-focused approaches
- Proficiency in assistive technologies or augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools
