Clarke & Severn Electronic Solutions was founded in 1978 with the objective of importing and distributing high quality components and products to the electronics industry throughout Australia and New Zealand.  Expanding in 2012 to include Cable Harness and Product Assembly for various industries.

We are a dynamic, fast-paced, growing company at Hornsby Heights requiring the expertise of an experienced Cable Assembler to join our friendly team.

The position involves all aspects of assembling electrical cable harnesses and looms and would require an eye for detail.

Key Requirements: (Training Available)

  • Experienced in Soldering.
  • Experienced in Cable Harness assembly or similar.
  • Experienced in preparing and crimping terminals onto wire/cables.
  • Working knowledge of cable and connectors commonly used in wiring harnesses and cables.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Positive attitude to learning.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

To apply you must have the following:

  • Previous experience in soldering cable harnesses.
  • Be confident using electrical tools and assembling electrical cables and components.
  • Have excellent communication skills and an approachable manner.
  • Have excellent vision and an eye for detail.
  • Can manage time effectively and able to prioritize.
  • Can perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be willing to lend a hand in different areas throughout the business as required.
  • Willingness to add a positive input to our multi-cultural and diverse workplace.
  • Can take orders and execute them without supervision.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Assembling cables and harnesses.
  • Soldering connectors
  • Preparing and crimping terminals onto wire/cables.
  • Mechanical Assembly
  • Reading and understanding electrical drawings.
  • Testing cables and harnesses.
  • Using both manual and electric hand tools.
  • Follow ISO-9001 accreditation.

Salary Package we offer includes a competitive hourly rate in line with your skill set, Bonus's based on achieving KPI's, on a Quarterly basis.

We are a family friendly organisation so flexible with the demands of family and school commitments during the year.

The position will offer 38 hours/week, Monday to Friday (8am – 4pm)
