About the role

This role presents a unique opportunity to work in one of our high-profile, prestigious sites. As a Security Site Supervisor , you will play a key role in supporting the operational delivery of security services, leading a team of officers, and ensuring that the security standards and client expectations are consistently met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and support to a team of security officers.
  • Monitor and coordinate all aspects of the day-to-day security operations.
  • Ensure all procedures and protocols are followed in line with MSS Security and client expectations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for incident response and reporting.
  • Leading by example you will foster a culture of professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise professionally with Parliament House staff, stakeholders, and visitors.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Prior experience in a security role, preferably in a high-profile or government environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, drive and mentor team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • A professional approach and high standards of personal presentation.

Requirements:

  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.
  • Valid Tasmanian Security licence(control room subcategory is highly desirable or willing to obtain).
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain).
