Factory Manager - Metroll Toowoomba

We're looking for a Factory Manager to lead operations at our Toowoomba site. This is a hands-on leadership role in a busy rollforming and steel manufacturing environment, where you'll guide a team that takes pride in producing high-quality building products safely and efficiently.

About the role

You'll oversee day-to-day production across our rollforming and sheet metal lines, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards remain high. You'll work closely with sales, transport and operations to keep communication flowing and support continuous improvement across the branch.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing production to deliver accurate, on-time manufacturing of steel building products.

  • Leading, coaching and developing a diverse team across rollforming and sheet metal operations.

  • Maintaining stock accuracy and overseeing stocktakes.

  • Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS standard.

  • Supporting incident reporting processes as required.

  • Identifying training needs and supporting ongoing staff development.

  • Implementing opportunities for process and efficiency improvements.

About you

You're an experienced production leader who understands the pace and complexity of a steel rollforming or manufacturing environment. You know how to get the best out of people, keep operations safe and steady, and maintain strong working relationships across teams.

You'll bring:

  • Experience leading a production or manufacturing team.

  • Solid understanding of safety and quality standards.

  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Clear communication and the ability to build strong team culture.

Desirable:

  • Experience in machine operation, particularly in roll forming or steel processing.

  • Forklift licence.

  • Experience with overhead gantry cranes.
