About the role

Sunnybank Private Hospital are currently seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Nurse – Theatre and Recovery to join our dynamic perioperative team on either a full time or part time basis.

Duties and responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to;

• Provides technical and clinical support to the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance and emergence from anaesthesia.
• Respond to unexpected outcomes and uses problem solving skills to respond to emergencies in the Perioperative department.
• Compliance with all legislative requirements in the work place including occupational safety and health acts and workers' compensation
• Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster is critical for this role.

Our ideal candidates will have:

• Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years' experience preferably in a critical care area.

Selection Criteria:

To succeed you will hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse with recent clinical experience (at least 2 years),

You will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a dynamic health care team holding effective written and verbal communication skills with commitment to ongoing professional education. In addition, you will possess the ability to problem solve or seek help from appropriate resources and the aptitude to implement care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
