Aboriginal Cultural Advisor – NSW

Are you passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people in care? Lifestyle Solutions is seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Cultural Advisor to lead and support cultural planning across our Child and Family services.
This is an identified role for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants, reflecting the cultural competency required to support our communities meaningfully.
About the Role
As our Aboriginal Cultural Advisor, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of Cultural Support Plans for children and young people in care.
- Provide cultural governance and endorsement of plans, supporting caseworkers and service teams.
- Build partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and local communities.
- Offer strategic and operational advice to leadership teams on cultural readiness.
- Support staff through cultural reflection, coaching, and education.
- Keep families and carers informed about local Aboriginal events, programs, and activities.
This role involves state-wide travel, particularly to Dubbo, Orange, and Broken Hill, and offers flexible hybrid working arrangements.
About You
You are a culturally grounded professional who:
- Has strong connections to Aboriginal communities and understands the importance of cultural identity and safety.
- Is experienced in cultural planning and community engagement.
- Can confidently advise and coach teams on culturally responsive practices.
- Holds a current unrestricted driver's licence and is willing to travel across NSW.
Mandatory requirements include:
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
