About the role

Bargain Steel Centre is seeking multiple motivated and detail-oriented Dispatch Operators to join our dynamic team in Burton, South Australia. In this role you will play a crucial part in the smooth and efficient distribution of our high-quality steel products to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and package orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles, maintaining safety protocols at all times
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to resolve any delivery or order queries
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock control processes
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our dispatch and logistics operations
  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a similar dispatch, warehousing or logistics role, within the manufacturing or distribution industry (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Good communication and customer service skills, with a solution-oriented approach
  • Forklift license and experience operating materials handling equipment (preferred - on the job training and forklift license can be provided)
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to the overall success of the business
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday 8.45am – 5.00pm
  • Every second Saturday 7.00am – 1.00pm
