Sander & Polyurethane Undercoater – Kitchens & Joinery

Planit Kitchens is currently seeking an experienced and versatile Sander & Polyurethane Under Coater to join our growing team in Tuggerah. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sand and prepare joinery components between coats to achieve a smooth, consistent finish.
• Apply polyurethane undercoat using spray equipment to MDF and timber surfaces.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the spray booth and sanding area.
• Inspect surfaces for imperfections, fill and repair minor defects as needed.
• Work closely with spray painters and assemblers to maintain workflow and meet production deadlines.

• Adhere to all WHS procedures and safe handling of chemicals, tools and equipment.

• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standards.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience with polyurethane coating and sanding in a joinery or cabinetry environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and spray booth procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn and grow within the role.
